SHE'S one of the most famous women in the world - but after watching Prince William and Kate Middleton's TV special this Christmas, viewers will feel like they've got to know the Duchess a little better.
While they were filming the BBC's A Berry Royal Christmas , the couple visited London-based homeless charity The Passage with Mary Berry.
Speaking to Hello! , an insider has claimed that Kate's interaction with those seeking help from the charity gives viewers an insight into her character.
The source said: "It's really heart-warming. The conversations they have really pull on the heartstrings.
"You get a really good sense of who [Kate] is - maybe more so than before."
The couple's visit to The Passage - which is the UK’s largest resource centre for homeless and insecurely housed people - cemented William's life-long connection to the charity, which he visited with his mother in 1993.
During the television special, the royal couple are joined by Mary Berry and Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain in the kitchen to try their hand at Mary's Christmas meringue roulade.
Speaking at an event in Birmingham earlier this week, Mary said: " They are such an enchanting, loving couple.
“I got them cooking a roulade. They were very competitive and kept looking at each other’s creations while they were making them.”
What's more, Mary insisted that the Duchess is in fact a "really good cook" after Prince William once joked that her cooking was "reason I'm so skinny".
Kate has previously appeared on Blue Peter and in an documentary for the Queen's 90th birthday but this upcoming feature will be her biggest television appearance to date.
A Berry Royal Christmas, will air on December 16, at 8.30pm on BBC One.
