Arsenal have confirmed a decision has been taken to part company with head coach Unai Emery and his coaching team.
The Gunners have gone seven straight matches without winning in all competitions.
Unai Emery has been in charge for just 18 months following the departure of manager Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal's statement continued: "The decision has been taken due to results and performances not being at the level required.
"We have asked Freddie Ljungberg to take responsibility for the first team as interim head coach. We have full confidence in Freddie to take us forward.
"The search for a new head coach is underway and we will make a further announcement when that process is complete.
Club legend Freddie Ljungberg has been appointed as the interim manager as the club search for a new manager to take over on permanent basis.
