Chelsea news includes fan reaction to the CAS hearing date for appeal
A date for Chelsea's two-transfer window ban hearing has been set.
And it's got fans talking on social media.
CAS have today (November 4) confirmed that the hearing in their headquarters in Lausanne will be heard on November 20.
The Blues were given a two-window ban by FIFA earlier in the year which means they cannot register any new players who are above the age of 16, after breaking regulations over the signing of youth players.
However, back in June the west London outfit submitted an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to have this ban reduced to just one which would enable them to make signings in January.
This was after the appeal to FIFA was thrown out.
Although, they had been awaiting a hearing date from CAS, and with the January transfer window just around the corner, the Blues will now be hoping for a positive verdict later this month.
But, do they need the ban reduced?
On the pitch things are going really well. Saturday's win over Watford coupled with Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur dropping points means the Blues are looking good for a top-four finish.
Well, news of the CAS hearing date has prompted a rather surprising - yet understandable - reaction from fans on Twitter.

Although, some fans are hoping for the transfer ban to be lifted in order to make a move for Borussia Dortmund and England wonderkid Jadon Sancho...
