The Premier League sack race became even more competitive with Manchester United’s defeat sending Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s odds tumbling.

Fans eager to cash in on Solskjaer’s demise sent the odds down to 7/2 on Solskjaer being the next Premier League manager to leave.

Everton boss Marco Silva remains the evens favourite to go while another manager in crisis, Mauricio Pochettino, is back at 4/1.
Interestingly, the Tottenham manager is the favourite to take over at Old Trafford should the Norwegian get the boot.
At 5/2, Poch leads Massimiliano Allegri (6/1) and Brendan Rodgers (15/2) as fans call for Solskjaer’s head.
And, despite Spurs’ own struggles, there is interest among fans in bringing Pochettino to Manchester.
One supporter tweeted: “I’d like Allegri or Poch but doubt either would take it at this moment haha.”
Another added: “Funny thing is I think if Poch goes first United will sack Ole instantly and put him in charge.”
One particular account, called #OleOut, wrote: “Sack Ole and appoint Pochettino before the Liverpool game.”

Another agreed, politely requesting: “Pochettino in Ole out, please.”
Plenty of United supporters online showed their discontent after Sunday’s defeat.
The team hasn’t won away from home since March and this is now their worst start to a league season since 1989/90.
And their problems go back further with the manager picking up just 17 points in 16 Prem games since being handed a contract to become permanent manager.
Simon tweeted: “Players out. Manager out. Board out. Owners out. The world’s biggest club to a laughing stock in 10 years. You’ve ruined it all.”
Taz added: “Two wins in 13 Premier League games. Not won an away game since Paris. Haven’t scored more than two goals in the league since the start of the season. No clear play style. Get him gone #OleOut.”

Another fan wrote: “We don’t need 11 new players to comfortably beat Rochdale/Alkmaar/Newcastle etc. Stop blaming every game on the board Ole fanboys. Your man got this job just because he is an ex-player. He has no tactics and pattern of play etc. 9 points in 8 games seriously? #OleOut.”
And one even commented: “Enough is enough #Oleout. Big Sam needed in this relegation fight.”
While another Twitter user remarked: “I watched Joker last night. I surely didn’t expect to watch 11 clowns today again against Newcastle.”
