Why David Murathe Has Declared War Against DP Ruto
Sept. 10, 2019
David Murathe declared war against Dp Ruto when he resigned his post of interim Jubilee Party Vice Chairperson. Murathe and Ruto have been in conflict where Murathe is being blamed for his bid to block DP Ruto from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
Murathe insisted he cannot sit in the same party with Dp Ruto whom he has made clear should not be the party’s presidential candidate come 2022. He also declared he will seek court interpretation if deputy presidents are eligibility to vie for presidency.
The former Jubilee vice chair insists he will do everything in his power to stop deputy president William Ruto from being president.
The former Gatanga Mp believes that Kenya will be finished if Ruto becomes president and he suggests Opposition leader Raila Odinga to be the only solution for Kenya. He is alleging that Dp Ruto has been linked with various corruption cases and hence, would be unfit to be the Head of State.
When he resigned as a Jubilee vice chair, Murathe insisted that he will gather other like-minded people to launch a movement to stop Ruto ahead of the 2022 elections. Murathe also rubbished claims that Uhuru and his Ruto got into a pact in 2013 for an automatic succession come 2022.
