TRAGIC! Man Bathes Eight People In Acid In Anambra

Eight people were bathed with acid in Uguwuagba, Awada near Onitsha, Anambra state.
The unidentified suspect was said to have been involved in a heated argument with an Onyeka at Ngbuka old Auto Spare Parts market of the area.
Immediately after the argument, he disappeared and came back to unleash his anger on the victims. He was chased by onlookers but evaded them.
The Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed confirmed the accident and listed the names of the victims. They were Onyeka Nwachukwu (38), Ofili Benjamin (32) and Ofili Damian (42), Okoro Ebuka (23), Ekwueme Anayo (35), Nnamani Chukwu (23), Obiora Chidubem(18) and Obasi Solomon (24),
According to Mohammed, the victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment by Police Patrol team attached to Awada Division.
He revealed that six of the victims have been discharged while two others were responding treatment.
He added that the case was being investigated and efforts were being made to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
“The Command urges the public to be security-conscious and report suspicious persons carrying substance inside a container at unusual places in order to avert such ugly incident,” he added.
