Charlotte Osei Could Be Killed In Afghanistan- Irbad Security
May. 29, 2019
Mr Irbard Ibrahim, the Executive Director of Irbard Security Consult has come out to say that Charlotte Osei's appointment to the UN Job as an International Elections Commissioner in Afghanistan is risky and could cost her her life.
According to Mr Ibrahim, the Taliban normally begins their operations around this time of the year, because now the mountains would have dried up, giving them the opportunity to freely travel between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He believes that is it likely that she could be a target.
He made this submission in a press release.
Mr Irbard also pleaded with the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to please intervene and ask her to not take the job, because she is a precious national asset that Ghana would not want to lose.
"There is usually an exponential increase in the number of attacks and I wish Ghana would leave one of its assets and potential future Electoral Commissioner out of this mess," Mr Irbard said.
