EDUCATION COVID-19
With the COVID -19 Pandemic still here, everything seems to be changing. Who would imagine visual graduation with no certificate awarding ceremony? Well, that is what happened in Toronto Canada, when Sammy Ssebaduka graduated from high school, without the usual graduation ceremony that comes with celebrations like graduation parties.
Unlike other graduation ceremonies, where certificates are presented to students physically, the graduation certificates accompanied with pictures of the ceremony were sent by mail to students and their parents.
"They just sent us videos and pictures so Ssebaduka's 2020 class was a unique one, the graduation parties were all cancelled, imagine receiving your certificate via email because of COVID-19," Solome Nanvule, the mother to Ssebaduka told New Vision.
Born to Ugandan Parents, Ssebaduka was admitted to York University in Toronto Canada, for a law degree. He is also an upcoming footballer. To appreciate his good grades, Ssebaduka 17, was gifted with a brand-new car.
