Jack Grealish urged to STAY at Aston Villa amid claims Pep Guardiola and Kevin De Bruyne want England midfielder at Man City
Nov 24, 2020
Jack Grealish has been urged to snub interest from Manchester City to STAY at Aston Villa.
According to recent reports, both Pep Guardiola and Kevin De Bruyne want to bring the England international to the Etihad, having been impressed by the 25-year-old’s superb performances this season.
But former City defender Danny Mills claims the Spanish boss already has too many options in his midfield and believes Grealish could harm his career by joining the title contenders.
Manchester United have previously been big favourites to sign Grealish, who appears to be constantly linked with a move away from his boyhood club.
But blue rivals City are reportedly now leading the chase to sign the Villa captain, with Guardiola keen to bring Grealish to the club as part of his attacking rebuild.
City are struggling for goals this season without talisman striker Sergio Aguero, with Guardiola’s side finding the net just ten times in their opening eight games of the new Premier League campaign, with the team currently sitting 13th in the table.
The Independent claim Guardiola has even discussed Grealish’s ability and possible arrival with midfield star De Bruyne, who praised the Englishman’s quality after Belgium’s recently victory over the Three Lions.
It is reported it would take a fee of over £100million to sign the ace, who only recently signed a new five-year contract at Villa Park.
