Tom Cruise on Mission Space to Hit the ISS, Date Set by SpaceX and NASA
Sep 23, 2020
The timeline of the ISS and other National Crew Manifest events clearly depicts the launch date.
It's set, Tom Cruise will be jaunting up to space in October 2021 to the International Space Station (ISS). He won't be heading up alone, though, as film director Doug Liman will be joining him, and there's still a third spot free — could it be for another actor?
The news follows previous rumors from earlier this year that hinted at the famous actor's potential trip to the ISS for his next movie.
The entire timeline from 2021 until 2023 for the ISS' projects has been shared via Space Shuttle Almanac on Twitter. And it's clear to see when Cruise and others in the film industry will be launching into space.

The movie that Cruise and Liman will be filming has yet to be disclosed, but given their previous science fiction work together in 2014, filming Edge of Tomorrow , we may be in for another edge-of-your-seat experience.
Some experts in the industry are guessing that Cruise and Liman will be shuttling up to space aboard SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule along with a female co-star, per Hackaday's report. The SpaceX capsule may be operated by the veteran astronaut, Michael López-Alegría .
As per the timeline, it's looking like Axiom Space will be managing the October 2021 launch. The company has previously explained that it will be looking after privately funded missions to the ISS, such as the Cruise and Liman one.
