Electric Daisy Carnival 2021 Sells Out in Less Than 12 Hours
Aug 12, 2020
With Electric Daisy Carnival 2020 officially off the calendar , fans have clamored for tickets to the 2021 event.
EDC 2021 went on sale August 6, four days after Insomniac Events Founder Pasquale Rotella announced the cancellation of EDC 2020.
According to Insomniac, tickets for the 2021 show sold out in less than 12 hours after going on sale. It is not clear how many tickets were actually up for sale, given that ticket holders for the 2020 show automatically had their tickets transferred to the 2021 event. Ticket holders who cannot make the 2021 show must request a refund via the EDC website.
Insomniac tells Billboard that EDC 2021 has no plans to operate at a limited capacity due to COVID-19, with 150,000 people expected for what is the biggest dance music festival in the United States. Fans who did no get tickets can join a waitlist, which will provide tickets as 2020 ticket refund requests are received.
Electric Daisy Carnival 2021 will celebrate 25 years of the festival, which began as an underground party during the early '90s rave era in Los Angeles and has gone on to become one of the world's biggest and best known dance festivals.
