BREAKING: Oshiomhole Withdraws Lawsuit Against His Removal As APC Chair, Accepts Dissolution Of NWC
Jun 27, 2020
Adams Oshiomhole, the overthrown former APC National Chairman has submitted to last Thursday's dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) by the party's National Executive Committee (NEC).
He conveyed his acceptance today, Saturday, in Abuja where he addressed a press conference, stating that he has further instructed his lawyers to withdraw his suit at the supreme court.
Oshiomhole, who is an erstwhile Edo State Governor was challenging a court of appeal order upholding his suspension as the National Chairman of the governing party.
He further disclosed that he has no regrets over the decisions he took while he was the leader of the party.
“The APC under my chairmanship has done its best and the results are there. Of course we have now been dissolved and I have accepted that dissolution in good faith,” he said.
“I’m not going into the question of legality or illegality. The bottomline is that the president who invited me to lead the party and who mobilised all the support for my emergence as chairman also presided over the meeting where the NWC has now been dissolved.
