Apr 14, 2021
Certain epic single-player titles have long tails, that is enough presence and popularity to continue being in the limelight for years -- we're talking Skyrim, GTA, and even CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3. In a new interview with

Cyberpunk 2077
Of course the state of Cyberpunk 2077 at launch, especially on consoles, has been well documented. The most recent Patch 1.2 went so far as to fix around 500 bugs and glitches and other broken elements, with many more to resolve. From a retail perspective it was a major step in seeing the game return to the PlayStation store after Sony removed it based on its overall performance. On that note Kicinski says its relationship with Sony is "friendly".
In terms of CD Projekt's future the plan is for the studio to fundamentally change so it can develop two big-budget AAA games in parallel from next year. Which means the focus at least for the foreseeable future will be on Night City and Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to more substantial patches a next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X update is incoming -- hopefully alongside new and re-designed or expanded content.
